Scantron cards

So we were touring SFSU today and strolled into the bookstore.

me: why would anyone buy scantrons to practice on? who has a machine to actually run it through?
jj: they're not for practice
me: what?
jj: people buy it for their exams
me: you have to buy your own scantron cards?!?!?! that's crazy! what if you don't?
jj: then you fail the exam..

wowowow. culture shock :D
